The Jewish Studies Program provides scholarships to deserving students to assist them in both completing and enriching their
educational experience. These monies are allocated based on
degree of involvement with the Jewish Studies Program, progress
toward the major or minor, quality of academic performance,
projected use of the scholarship funds, and urgency. While funds
are disbursed throughout the year, most allocations are made at
the beginning of each academic term.
To make application for support from these funds, see the Program Director. If you do decide to apply, you will be asked to provide a short document which indicates your student number, academic major(s) and minor(s), your class standing (freshman, etc.) and a fifty to seventy-five word paragraph which indicates how you plan to use the scholarship monies. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will have to compose a letter of thanks to send to the donor(s) who provided the endowment which was selected to support you. You will receive help in writing this letter. Administrative support for the Jewish Studies Scholarship program is provided by Mrs. Rose Niman (rmn11@psu.edu or 863-8939).
